STILT Social

The Salon

Thoughtful questions and conversations about style, beauty, design and the products worth discovering.

Community · The Asks

Good discovery begins with good conversation.

Share experiences and thoughtful questions about products and rituals on STILT. The Salon is for community conversation, not outside selling.

Finders may participate through the approved Ask formats. Commercial product tagging remains reserved for eligible Founders and Professionals.

Community Standards

The Salon is a conversation about what is worth discovering. These are the rules it runs on.

Version 2026-10-09.1

The Salon is for asking and answering

Members take part through STILT’s Salon formats — asks, reviews and ritual questions. There is no free-form status post, because the Salon is a conversation about what is worth discovering rather than a feed about ourselves.

Conversations stay on STILT

Entries cannot carry links to other sites, email addresses or messaging handles. Everything a reader needs to act on — the product, the Founder, the purchase — is already here.

Members are not sellers here

No promotion of your own shop, discount codes, affiliate arrangements or offers to sell. Mentioning a STILT product is a reference, never a sales listing: it carries no seller credit and no checkout of its own.

Mention products that actually exist on STILT

A mentioned product must be one STILT currently offers. A product that is withdrawn stops being mentionable immediately, so nobody is sent to something they cannot get.

Nobody labels their own post as editorial or paid

Editorial selection and paid placement are STILT’s to declare, and they are declared where a reader can see them. A member cannot apply either label to their own entry.

Entries can be reported, hidden and removed

Anyone can report an entry. A moderator can hide or remove it, and can restrict an account. Every decision is recorded with who made it and why. You can always remove your own entry.

Restriction applies when you post, not just when you are read

An account under restriction or suspension cannot add new entries. Existing entries stay as they are unless a moderator acts on them.
